Join us @artemisia.farm for afternoon aperitivi and bocci on the lawn in our first ever botanical wine release. It’s a gathering of good friends, noshy bites, and casual camaraderie.

Our botanical wines center around herbs and fruit native to southern Appalachia. We’ll guide you through a tasting of each, exploring the terroir of Virginian cocktail culture.

All attendees will have their name entered into a raffle for a credit to our online marketplace. Bottles will be available for purchase.

This has been an incredible journey for us, and we want to share it with you. We still have some tickets left! Link in bio. (at Artemisia Farm & Vineyard)

An unexpected sushi night in the dark days of January. Southern candy roaster squash that we grew in my parents’ field filled the maki, paired with fermented seaweed from Maine, tofu from Maryland, and an old bottle of @hermannjwiemer Riesling from New York. A decidedly East Coast meal framed by Japanese intention and winter’s ingenuity. (at Artemisia Farm & Vineyard)

A fun exploration (read: munch needed palate reboot/catchup) of American Syrah tonight.

@monumentwine showed a density that I had forgotten that Syrah can do (having loved northern Rhône for far too long—and this is no Ardeche). It’s intensity resonated in us and shows a sharper energy. Our friends at @domestiquewine recommended this wine, and we look forward to seeing what else this young producer has to show in the years to come.

@skyzinfandel feels like the warm embrace of an old friend, in the way that is more poignant these days than it used to be. Bright and ripe, I was immediately reminded of all the southern Italian wines that I’ve fallen for in the past decade, but this shows a nuance and depth that enamored Kelly too. @williamscornerwine showed me this years ago and I’ve held this bottle with care since.

As someone who started with a very old school France-dominating beginning to wine, it is really nice to fee impressed and surprised by domestic wines. Thank you to those who made and those who shared. (at Artemisia Farm & Vineyard)
